How to StartFreya's Missing Peace

Once you're able to explore Vanaheim freely, explore River Delta with Freya to unlock this quest. Once she tells Kratos about her unfinished business, this mission will start.

It's important to know that you can complete this mission whenever you want, but you need Freya as a companion to open the entrance to her wedding shrine.

Clearing the Way

The region where Freya wants to go is called Goddess Falls, but there's a huge wall blocking the way. To clear the path, you must first go to Cliffside Ruins.

Leave your boat and deal with the enemies in the area. Afterward, jump on the platforms and use purple sigils to burn the red vines blocking the chain on the upper south side of this area.

Get down the platforms and climb up using the chain. Walk to the left until you reach a seal where Kratos can use his chisel. Interacting with the seal will clear up the wall.

Now get back to your boat and follow the path you just unlocked.

Going to Goddess Falls

Now that the wall is out of your way, head south of the river to get to Goddess Falls.

Dock in the area shown below and deal with the enemies there.

Next, use the wall shown below to climb up.

Keep moving forward and use the blades to jump the gap to get to the other side. From there, turn right and climb the wall to keep going up the waterfalls.

Jump the gap and follow Freya to a big blocked mountain wall. Interacting with the wall will make the goddess open it.

You will now be in a hidden region called Vanir Shrine. There are a couple of enemies in the area, and poisonous plants with an AoE, so be careful where you go during combat.

A fight with a Soul Eater will start as soon as you step into the shrine. To defeat this type of enemy, wait until it shows its chest and throw your axe at it. This will weaken the Soul Eater, so keep doing it until it falls to the ground. Once that happens, press R3 to perform a special move where you can deal repetitive damage to the monster.

Keep repeating the process of aiming at its chest and pressing R3 when you can to kill this enemy.

Opening the Red Door

Now head to the left side of the area, where you'll see a red circular door with a torch on each side.

To get this door open, you need to light up the torches simultaneously. To do so, place a purple sigil on each torch and another in the middle. Keep placing purple sigils on top of the middle one to increase its area of effect.

Once the AoE is big enough, light up the sigil in the middle using your blades to open the door.

Head inside and keep moving forward. There will be an enemy up ahead in an area with a red chest.

A Nokken is protecting this enemy, so you won't be able to kill it while the Nokken is still alive.

Instead of fighting the enemy, place a purple sigil on the red vines to the left and burn them using your blades. This will give you access to a new area where you can access the Nokken and kill it.

Now that the Nokken is gone, deal with the rest of the enemies to clear the area.

Once the area is free from enemies, walk up to Freya and interact with her so she can destroy the first item from her wedding.

Finding the Second Item

It's time to get to the second item. Follow Freya to the passage on the left to get to an area with a Seal where Kratos can use his chisel. Doing so will reveal some runes that Freya can read, but she needs a closer look, so head back to the central area of the shrine (the one where you fought the Soul Eater) to get a closer look.

Fight the enemies there and get close to the runes so Freya can inspect them. You will learn that the word is incomplete. To find the rest, you must find a second seal but first, bring down the draw bridge to your right.

Get close to the bridge and place purple sigils on the red vines to the right and on the walls to connect them. Use your blades on the nearest sigil to create a chain reaction and burn the vines.

Go back to the spot where the runes are, and look at the bridge; you will be able to spot a chain lock, throw your axe at it to lower the bridge.

Cross the bridge and keep moving forward until you encounter a few Nightmares. Deal with the monsters and leave the area through the left. Be careful because as soon you get close to the wooden fences shown below, a couple of enemies will ambush you.

Defeat them and keep moving forward. Open the red door blocking your path and keep moving forward.

Two Revenants will spawn. Deal with them and interact with Freya so she can destroy the second ceremonial item.

Finding the third item

Now wait until Freya opens the area to your right and follow her inside. Use Kratos' Chisel in the blue seal to reveal the missing letters, then head back down to the central area so Freya can read the whole word.

The fastest way there is to burn the red vines on the left side of this area and move forward to access a chain you can use to get down.

Now get close to the runes so Freya can read the complete word. This will make a bridge appear. You can use it to get to the other side.

Keep moving forward and use Kratos' chisel on the wall with the gray seal. A cut scene will start where Freya retrieves the third item, a sword (you can later make Freyaequip it in the gear menu).

Once the cut scene is over, head back to your boat (there will be a couple of enemies along the way, so prepare for a fight) and interact with it. As soon as you do, a couple of Drekis will come out of the water and attack you. Defeat the creatures and interact with your boat again to end this side quest.
